Harar founded in the 12th century, it was a shrine place for Muslim people some books says that it is the fourth most holy city after Islamic Mecca, there are around 99 mosques. the significant Attraction here is the wall of Harar built by Amir Nur in 1560 it is wonderful, Harar People famous for their hospitality Chat and Coffee Culture. In 2006 Harar recorded by UNESCO as a world heritage.
Until the 16th c the Solomonic Empire of Ethiopia there was no fixed capital else living in tents. In 1635 Gondar founded by Emperor Fassiledes after the closed-door policy he recognized that the permanent Capital of the Country for the period of 250 years ago. the compound of Fassil has many picturesque ruins in the royal enclosure includes Fasiledes Castle, Iyasus Palace, Dawits Hall,Mentewabs Castle qusquam church complex built by Empress Mentewab,Debre Berhan Sillasie Church famous for its murals. Gondar recorded by UNESCO as a world heritage.
The Next Historical tourist site is BahirDar ,the city surrounded by lake Tana was formed during Cenozoic era by doomed lava flowed, Lake Tana the largest highland lake in Ethiopia 3673sqkm,there are 37 scattered islands 20 of them have ancient churches &Mysteries monasteries built in 13th c ,famous for their murals especially of Ura Kidane meheret,kibran Gebriel,Debre Mariam,Dega Stefanos,Tana Kirkos it was considered that the ark of the covenant was seated here before moved to Axum.
Blue Nile is the longest river in the world .
Blue Nile fall is found in 30 k.m locally Called “Tis Isat” i.e the smoke of the fire.

The area contains 20 peaks that rise above 4,000 meters, including Ras Dashen in Simien Mountains National Park, which, at over 4,500 meters, is the country’s highest peak and the third highest mountain in Africa.
